It’s the 25th Anniversary of “Take Our Kids to Work” day!
Starting in 1994, this career day is the most recognized career education event in Canada with approximately 200,000 students participating each year. Through Take Our Kids to Work Day, students are able to witness the world of work firsthand, assisting them in early career planning, and enabling them to make informed decisions about their future goals.
Stromag is pleased to be participating in this year’s event by having Jakob Snyder (son of Office Manager Dana) join us for a day of work in our machine shop. Under the watchful eyes of our skilled staff, Jake learned about shop safety, the various machines we use on a daily basis, reading blue prints and he even got some hands on machining experience. Hopefully this knowledge of how a shop works will assist Jake in making informed decisions about his career path.
We enjoy seeing the younger generation take an interest in skilled trades and we wish Jakob all the best in his future endeavors.
